Chris Mansell's recent books include Spine Lingo: new and selected poems (Kardoorair, 2011), Letters (Kardoorair, 2009), Love Poems (Kardoorair, 2006), The Fickle Brat (text + audio CD) (Interactive ) and Mortifications & Lies which Kardoorair published in 2005. IP has also published a collection of short fiction called Schadenvale Road (in 2011). She won the Queensland Premier’s Award and been short-listed for the national Book Council Award and the NSW Premier’s Award.
Richard Kelly Tipping currently lives in Sydney working with public sculpture projects. He is represented by Australian Galleries.
Born in Adelaide, Tipping studied at Flinders University and co-founded the ongoing Friendly Street poetry readings in 1975. He lived in Europe and England from 1984-86, making documentary films on expatriate writers including Randolph Stow, Peter Porter and David Malouf. Completing a doctorate at UTS, Sydney, he lectured in media arts at the University of Newcastle.
UQP published Soft Riots (1972), Domestic Hardcore (1975) and Nearer by Far (1986); and Picaro Press Notes Towards Employment (2006). A fat book of visual and verbal poems is nearing completion.
