Earlier tonight I came across Austin Kleon's newspaper blackout poems

Intrigued, I thought I'd give it a go, but with my own twist. Instead of a physical newspaper, I searched online for a magazine layout with sufficient amount of text from which I could hopefully distill an interesting poem.

Having found my raw material (below), I copied it into Photoshop and rather than blacking out all unwanted text, I erased the words I didn't need.

The process took about 20 minutes and I think there could have been a couple of worthwhile interim poems....but I continued redacting until I was finally left with this...
