A social site for poets in Sydney.
After some experimentation with Ning's 'theme designer' the new look for Sydney Poetry is settling in.
Let us all know what you think.
Tim – glad to hear it meets with your approval. In the words of the old Aero bar ad
It's the bubbles of nothing that make it really something.
I love the bubbles too, and the colours.
However...I'm not so keen on the yellow squiggly lines, and the lack of deginition around sections of the page. The colours and fonts are pretty, it's just the layout that's not quite my style!
Overall I like the change though :D
l Iike the header very much with its psychedelic bubbles of inspiration and it's easy to navigate like the old one. As an graphic designer and artist with an 'aesthetic eye', its overall design does seem to lack 'something' maybe it's symmetry. It's very heavy on the left and squeezed into the right, and it's left heaviness continues all the way down the page and then after tags there is only blank white space on the right.
I suggest Adrian that from videos onwards centralise and enlarge-or fill in with something else- the information to contain the space.
In conclusion, I think a light yellow background instead of white would be better too, in order to allow the imagery and content to be less diffuse and stand out better.Add a Comment
