Rain falls on muddy ground
Footprints mark the way just trodden
Deep trenches, raw edges, soiled and sodden
Old faces, small places, anxious and hidden
No more confusion, pain or sorrow
Gone are tears, of fears of the morrow

For today does mark the completion of that trial
A new day, a new way, the choice already made
A new road lay ahead; but what this new road hold
Where leads its end?

Rejoice! I choose the Full-cup
Life more abundantly, to live in the eternal
To walk openly with angels and men
Talk freely the things of liberation
Paint relentlessly the colours of rainbows
Sing widely the messages of the heart

To touch gently the needy
Speak boldly the injustices
To challenge, to heal, to teach, to reveal
To step powerfully, deeper into Life

Hi Suzanne,

I can feel the liberating tone and sense of escape towards the end. The opening stanza really paints a strong picture. Thanks for sharing. Good stuff!

Thanks Thomas,

The joy of poetry is that it takes us all on a journey.
