David and John will be reading from their latest work.
David Musgrave is the author of four books of poetry and one novel. His collection Phantom Limb was awarded the Grace Leven Prize for poetry and shortlisted for the SA and WA Premier’s Awards. His novel Glissando was shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Award for Fiction and the Glenda Adams Award for new writing. His individual poems have been awarded most of the prizes available in Australia and have been widely anthologised and translated. He lectures in creative writing at the University of Newcastle and is the publisher at Puncher & Wattmann.
John Watson is the author of A First Reader (Five Islands Press,2003), Montale: A Biographical Anthology (Puncher and Wattmann; 2006), Erasure Traces (Puncher and Wattmann, 2008), Views from Mt Brogden & A Dictionary of Minor Poets (Puncher and Wattmann, 2008), River Syllabics, (Picaro Press, 2009) and Four Refrains, (Picaro Press, 2011), Occam’s Aftershave (Puncher and Wattmann, 2012). He was awarded the Newcastle Poetry Prize 2002, and the Blake Prize for Poetry 2009.
