The Kids' Poetry Workshop will stimulate kids to think about poetry and how it relates to the world they know. How do we use our senses in poetry? What does a poem look like and how does it sound? We will write a short poem or poems using images from a few of Glebe library's best-loved kids' books and poem titles. Poems written in the workshop may be selected for inclusion in The Red Room animation.

About Stacks

The Red Room Company’s poetry-in-libraries series 2011. Stacks is series of poetry readings and workshops for students and the general public, to be held in City of Sydney Libraries, facilitated by eminent Australian poets.

Each workshop will make use of the collections and physical spaces unique to each library. Participants will experience new ways to approach poetry as readers, writers and library users. Stacks workshop bookings are now open so get in quick!
