Judy Beveridge's 'Storm and Honey.' Hidden agenda aside, it's a fantastic collection.
Nice call. What about... Emma Jones's The Striped World?
Do we really wanna restrict ourselfs to Strayans only? That seems a bit safe and insular to moy. Stacks of interesting, entertaining, lots-to-talk-about books from o/s wot I can fink of...
no anthologies?
Greg & Rebecca – good points. How about we start with an Australian like Judith or Emma, then discuss what next at the first session, making it open to anthologies and international.
Hi everyone, Just found out about this group — what a great idea.
There's some o/s stuff I'd love to discuss, e.g. Maggie Nelson, 'Something Bright, then Holes'; Vicki Feaver, 'The Book of Blood'; Denise Duhamel, 'Kinky' (not sure if that one would qualify as 'recent') ...
Hi Tricia, hope you can join us for Judy Beveridge's Storm and Honey on Aug 30th. We haven't planned a title for September, so it'd be good to hear more about these ones then.
