A social site for poets in Sydney.
Went to the launch of Your Friendly Fascist Selected & the "lost" P 76. Much subversive eminent gris about the place, when Alan Wearne was discussing old and new technologies he said "we're all on tablets now" which got a belly laugh from all us geezers & geezettes. A delight to rediscover voices from the 60s, 70s and 80s .
A certain senior poet's launch speech was utter rubbish though, going on in delight at some poor gay Chinese poet who had a name that began with "Billie". What was all that about? Was that a actually funny to you?
The tablet gag was actually Richard Tipping's, my brain is a funny implement.
No worries Les, I did enjoy Richard T's performance.
