Robert Adamson has published twenty volumes of poetry in Australia, the UK and the USA. His most recent collection is The Golden Bird, and his previous volume of poems, The Goldfinches of Baghdad, won the Age Book of the Year Award for poetry and the Grace Leven Prize for Poetry and was shortlisted for the New South Wales and Queensland Premiers Literary Awards and the State Library of NSW Biography Award. In 2009, Robert edited the Best Australian Poems.
