Spam (sigh)
We copped a bit of nasty spam this morning from a new member, who obviously joined just to spam the site. The material and member who posted it have both been removed.
So that this doesn't happen again we have decided to approve blog posts before they appear. We'll continue to do this until we've got a better way of keeping spammers out of the site.
UPDATE
We have now added a crafty question for new members. Though notably jingoistic it's a question almost everyone with some knowledge of Australian poetry would know the answer to: "What was Banjo's last name?" We presume spammers from the US, India, China and Russia probably won't get that one right, at least, not without some crafty googling. Let's see how it goes.
