The Writing Program at RMIT's School of Media and Communication and the Australian Poetry Centre have knocked heads and come up with this cracking good opportunity – a two month poetry residency at RMIT in 2010/2011.

The poet in residence will provide mentorship, contribute to publications, speak at literary or poetry-related public events, contribute to the poetry community locally, nationally and
internationally, deliver personal and public outcomes of the residence
and become ambassadors for poetry and the project.

Two months seems to me a little short, but the residency includes a payment of $15,000 (which seems adequately long) and travel to and from Melbourne and accommodation in Melbourne (if required).

So Sydney poets, here's your chance to invade Melbourne from the inside.
