A strange paradox today's news presents;

The dilemma of looking like a chicken.

Or is it more about feeling like one!

I spoke to a General in a war torn country.

Retreat is certainly a strategic move.

It holds no stigma in military situations of modern times.

Results and Consequences!- Personal- National- International

Are corner stones to tactical retreats.

Why is it then in my ordinary world

I am bullied into believing- I must go for it ALONE!

It does not matter if I die or cause irreparable harm;

I must be seen as the determined- the persistent- the unyielding.

Do people love the martyrdom of others against their own incapabilities?

Do you admire the pitiful gains of a pyrrhic victory?

I want to lead a group of quitters!

The ones that realised, quite intelligently,

That silk purses cannot be made out of sows' ears.

That try-as-you-might

Night cannot be changed to day,

Nor can we cast away the lot of Natural designs.

I resign without the least regrets-

I took my horse to the water....

It died of thirst.

Perhaps it sensed my subtle intention was to kill it

In a pool of my own ambitions.
