Australian Poetry is seeking a NSW State Director to be based in Sydney and work with the National Director in planning and executing the NSW component of the National Program. The State Director should have strong management experience, leadership skills and experience in a similar role for a relevant organisation, know how to pour a stiff drink and have a good laugh.

Australian Poetry Ltd is a new organization due to be launched in 2011 as a merger between the Australian Poetry Centre based in Melbourne and Poets Union based in NSW. It will be the peak industry body for poetry in this country with a charter to promote and support Australian poets and poetry locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

Ok the bit about drinking & laughing was our suggestion for the job description. They didn't really ask for that (but it'd be good if they did, dontcha think?)
