Tunnel of Love

The Time . . .10:07 A.M. Saturday

The Place. . .Pedestrian tunnel from

St James Station to Macquarie Street.

 

Five or six bodies lie entombed on the

walkway, in makeshift beds of ancient

blankets, and various coverings of

natural and manmade fibres.

All afflicted with the same motionless

disease, lying alone, except for one man

and woman, they lie side by side, their

bodies reveal an incredibly moving

Short Sighted

I saw the Queen of England, twice,

Isaw the Palace where she lived.

 

I saw the house Charles Dickens lived in,

I saw the streets The Beatles walked.

 

I saw the Atlantic in the winter,

I saw whales and icebergs too.

 

I saw the Earth from 30,000 feet,

I saw it from inside a deep cave.

 

I saw bombs exploding, bullets flying,

I saw people cheering, people jeering.

 

I saw a million trees…

A MODERN ODE ( FOURTH ATTEMPT )

Being some lines on modernism

using modern methods not a

trace of punctuation no comma

no period no structure as such

lines leaching from the cranium

along nervous endings to exit

the tips of the fingers (digits)

appearing on the screen more

or less in random patterns

I am getting the hang of this now

maybe I can fill a whole page

just keep the flow of words flowing

nothing too obscure too obvious
