Hi Cassie, good to chat with you the other day, and now welcome to the Sydney Poetry social site. You are member #105.

What I normally say here is this is a site that is built by the poets of Sydney (and friends) for the poets of Sydney (and friends), but there is clearly benefit to everyone in having Wollongong events in the site.

You can add your own photos, videos and events (well you already know that). You can write blog posts, or start topics in the forum. Or you can just keep an eye on what's happening.

There's no membership fee and no middlewoman – there is though just a bit of moderation to keep it clean and on-topic.

Have a read of the welcome note (if you haven't checked it out already) to find out more. Although the site is just starting up I hope you enjoy what you already find here, and if you do, please feel free to invite other poets (and teachers, readers, writers, performers) you know to join.

Also please introduce yourself, what you write, what you read etc with a few words in the editable text box on your profile page (& if you're in the mood also add an image for your avatar).
