Breathe. I lay awake. Blue-grey branches cluster against the night. Washing line. Leopard-like domestic cat. All this time… yours, mine…  Silent breaths calm my soul and still my thoughts. We missed each other. Just. Now you’re the rain against my window… pain I try not to feel and only the feintest scars remain to remind me of things I always knew.
