Ludmilla house

September 2009- September 2010

The days and nights in our Ludmilla house

were punctuated by the sounds of others;

their piercing screams

relentless pathetic wailing;  ignored

& cries

broken shattering glass and doors were slammed

drunken brawls

volatile

relationship wounds gauged and picked at in public for all to feel

car stereos at 3AM again....

phone calls made for assistance and then nothing.

unpredictable waves of laughter and madness

Restless, hungry, wild dogs and children

 It felt like complete chaos

night and day blurred

broken sleep and frustration

People across the way, on the other side of the fence.  Another world.

Slowly it seeped its way through the fence and into ours.  It wore us down
