What unforgiving cruelty it is, when you visit me
in my sleep. Your pale green eyes stir great lover's
wisdom in me, forgetting everything I was, leaving
everything I cherished behind for the moment
we began to share.

A night together, that can turn
Nature's love to envy. A beautiful truth it felt,
I could cease altogether, gaze on you,
fix myself on you, swear
myself to you...and you to me.
Just for a tiny moment,
you and I.
Together.

But Nature was in work
that night. Usurping my mind,
playing my thoughts to confuse my sight.
Creating a gentle land where sleep
reigns, switching those what was thought
reality into dream.

It felt like dying, the moment I woke.
You were lost within me, a cruel joke.

I lie awake, hoping your dream would come again,
but as each night passed you were quiet,
a still memory asleep within me.

But I am not pressed by this realty,
Within these dreams purpose spreads, showing us
futures and love's possibility and many things unread.

(Guidance to win your heart,
to create a reality's dream
rather than dream reality.)
