I was lying on the earth

Looking at the clear morning sky
When I heard my mother speak to me
She said follow the love
So wherever there is love

There I'll be

I felt my mother one fine day
As a gentle breeze brushed my face
What is true, she said to me
And what is real and meant to be
May be hard
There may be pain

But my dear you'll smile again

The truth may twist and contradict
And there'll be things you'll kick against
But find the sweet bliss of your soul
And your tale that must be told
Find the stillness in your heart

That knows that we're not far apart

Oh my mother, my dearest friend
Until the day we meet again
I carry your heart, I carry your soul

In my heart, strong and bold

All is not lost
When I can meet you in the sky
In pure love, so divine
There is peace here on this day
A stillness like a glassy lake
And I know it's you who kisses the wind

That touches my cheek and gently moves on

There are many cheeks here for you to bless
Though they're tear stained and we're all a mess
There's a pure love
And that's who you are

It's in the sky and it's in our hearts

You're not gone
You're bigger than ever
Your spirit expanded
And I'll never say never
You're everywhere now, calm and strong
My courageous cheeky friend

My perfect lovely mum
