Everyday Ecstasies

Alive

Awake

Sensation

Brushing teeth, showering, eating, shitting

Little things hide the big

Make them

Getting up some days is like a worm pushing through the earth

Standing in my skin

Muscles moving

Action and effect give meaning

Touching you gives life

Receives it

Straight angled city carves lines into curling intricate forest and hill

Red Yellow Blue Green Purple Black White Brown

The colours draw me out into the world away from the whispers in the dark

The symphony of noise slips into the background

With a bird’s lonely cry bringing a moment of joyful memory

Shadowy trees’

Quiet loneliness cool respite

Peace

Smelling the composting leaves and fresh ploughed earth

A whiff of horse and cow

A jenny wren jumps from branch to branch

A car roars passed

Business awaits pushing and pulling

Friends bring calm

Listening honest connection

Blissful solid reality

Ecstasy in each ordinary moment

Attention given to the swirling marriage of inner and outer

Work

Love

Friendship
