Alley Girl

In step, the city
quick step.

We spot the Alley Girl,
We see her red hair,
coal eyes,
and we feel
her pitiless glance

We falter –

Can we save
our city solutions, our dreams
and delusions?

Uncertain, we weave and duck,
Like sparrows dodge the Hawk

Then she smiles

Maybe…in step again
