From urban lanes to country rivers, Australians have been spitting their poetry, stories, lyrics and monologues; battling for audience love and a place in the finals. Now watch the nation’s best wordsmiths tear up the Sydney Theatre stage with blood, sweat and rhyme.

Judges, chosen from the audience, pick one fresh voice to represent Australia in an all expenses paid tour to The Ubud Writers and Readers Festival and the China Bookworm International Literary Festival. That's an $11,000 trip and some serious schmoozing.
