Rob Riel

Rob Riel has worked as a sailor, metallurgist, university lecturer in English, electron microscopist, and disability services specialist.  Eleven years ago he established Picaro Press, which specialises in poetry publication using print-on-demand technology. 

He has twice received Australia Council grants for New Work. Rob has been published in the Five Islands Press New Poets Series 6 (For As Long As You Burn), and has a prose poetry collection from Island Press (Rogue Perspectives). 

He lives in Cardiff, NSW, with partner Judy Johnson, whose 2nd novel The Secret Fate of Mary Watson has just been released by Harper Collins.
