Featuring Andy Quan. All ages and levels of experience welcome.
Poet, Andy Quan, is originally from Canada and has lived in Australia since 1999, mostly in Surry Hills. For this workshop, he will read selections from his two books of poetry, Slant and Bowling Pin Fire, and talk about sources of inspiration and how he writes. Participants will be asked to contribute writing to a group poem. The theme for the poems will be neighbourhoods and libraries, and further inspiration may be drawn from the Surry Hills special collections, which include lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender literature, fashion and design, as well as a selection of books highlighting local history and personalities. Come to listen, write, and create.
To reserve your place contact Surry Hills Library 8374 6230.
