Australia Suite was first published in 1998 in a limited edition of 100 bound copies, signed by the poet Lynn Hard and artist Garry Shead.

For the poet, American-born, the poems were contemplative on many levels,

"Personally, as a migrant, I see the poems in this book as deposits to an account I have with Australia that, to my everlasting good fortune, is always overdrawn."

A further 200 blocks of sewn pages were produced for a later paper edition, roamed the country, lost to all, until they re-surfaced in 2009. Freshly bound by Sabine Peirard this is the "new" paper edition of Australia Suite.

Lynn Hard has published Dancing on the Drainboard and Australia Suite and is currently completing a new volume of poems with drawings by Garry Shead.

Garry Shead is an artist whose published works include Kangaroo: The Corrected Edition by DH Lawrence, The DH Lawrence Paintings (1993), Encounters with Royalty (1998), Garry Shead and the Muse (2001) and The Apothesis of Ern Malley (2009), all with Sasha Grishin.

Alan Wearne is an award winning Australian poet, whose books include Lovemakers 1 and 2 and The Australian Popular Songbook.
