Following their five month long hiatus they are returning and will be appearing on Sunday May 8th, to Sappho Books, Glebe. The first event will feature a talk by Can Yalcinkaya, Drawing the City's Arsehole: Unacceptable Turkish Comics, 1996-2006. Can describes the talk as focusing on the weird, wild and ugly period in Turkish comics, which was informed by underground comix of Robert Crumb, punk art, anti-establishment politics, and marginal culture.
The talk will start at 7pm. Sappho Books has fine food and drink available. Entry is $5.
