Event Description

This month we present Anna Kerdijk Nicholson and Judith Beveridge

Anna Kerdijk Nicholson's second book, 'Possession', won the Victorian Premier's Prize 2010 and was shortlisted for both the NSW and the ACT Premiers' Prizes in 2011. Her first book, 'The Bundanon Cantos', was a 2003 Sydney Morning Herald Best Book. She was born in Yorkshire, lives in Sydney, practises as a lawyer and rides a bike to work. Anna was an editor of the NSW Poets Union's literary magazine, 'Five Bells' and served on the Union's Committee and she now sits on the Board of the national body, Australian Poetry. 

 

Judith Beveridge is the author of The Domesticity of Giraffes, Accidental Grace, Wolf Notes, Storm and Honey and most recently Devadatta’s Poems and Hook and Eye: a selection of poems. She is the poetry editor for Meanjin and teaches poetry writing at postgraduate level at the University of Sydney.
