Chris Andrews was born in Newcastle (Australia) in 1962, and he grew up in Melbourne. He is the author of two books of poems: Cut Lunch (Indigo, 2002) and Lime Green Chair (Waywiser, 2012). He has translated books of fiction by Latin American authors, including Roberto Bolaño’s By Night in Chile (Harvill / New Directions, 2003) and César Aira’s Varamo (New Directions / Giramondo, 2012), and was a recipient of the Vallé-Inclan Prize for Literary Translation from Spanish (British Society of Authors, 2005). In February the series of poetry events will include two open reading events on Sunday 28 April and Sunday 25 August 2013, in which poets can register their participation.  On these special open reading events there will be no feature poet.  Poets interested in registering for the two special open reading events can email Angela Stretch, Sydney Poetry @ 2 Coordinator, to receive a registration form.
