Event Description
The CAL Chair in Australian Poetry is a part-time appointment (1 day a week) over 3 years, 2012-2014, offered to one of Australia’s outstanding poets. The CAL Chair in Australian Poetry will give 2 lectures annually to alumni, students and the general public. The CAL Chair in Australian Poetry will mentor the City of Sydney Poet and collaborate with existing CAL partners as well as promote the study, recognition and enjoyment of Australian poetry nationally and internationally.
Essential criteria
- Significant publication record in poetry
- A distinguished national reputation
- Commitment to the public promotion of poetry
