Event Description

Roll up, roll up, rolllll uuuupppppp... the caravan is back in town, parking up this month in... Marrickville.

Expect to see some of Sydney’s finest established and emerging performance poets working their lyrical magic.

The Caravan Slam is an open platform, aiming to connect people from a wide demographic. Whether you’re a slam veteran or virgin, get in contact via our face book page if you’d like to perform one of your original 3 minute poems. This is your night!

We'll also be holding an emergency slam topic in collaboration with the Academy of Emergency Art Sydney. To be announced. The best of these emergency slam segments over the next few months will be chosen to perform at Kinetic Jazz in October.

Rogue girl band about to combust at Burning Man will be gracing our half time entertainment stage, with their deep rock witchcraft, keep your eyes and ears out for DAMP VAMP.

Guest judges, to be announced.

“Whether you're keen to be a poet, a judge, or an audience member, it's definitely worth watching this space.”

Hey thanks Caravan Slam for adding your event to sydneypoetry.com. Hope it goes well. I've just updated the tags so it appears in some tagged collections. EMM
