Porridge?

With one banana,

mashed and mixed?

Yes… sounds good.

Steaming hot

and aromatic.

Do you make

your porridge

with one banana?

Yes… and with whole milk,

not with that watery, fat free

insipid, tasteless junk.

Do you have sugar

on your Porridge?

No, and not honey or salt.

But when I’m feeling wicked

I do enjoy a squirt of cream

on my porridge.

End Note:  Dedicated to a famous American poet: When I write something as deep and meaningful, multifaceted, many layered as this fascinatingly complex, challenging, and - dare I say riveting – short work I always cite the influence of a great poet. However, his name for the moment escapes me.

It's the simple things in life. Echoes of one flew over the cuckoos nest. It works! Well done

Thank you, Thomas
