“Surrender”
Art thou forever sanctioned to see
The ground move beneath as you leave
Hither discourse of my past sorrow
Shalt not deny the love of tomorrow
All the stars beseech you to believe
That heaven’s word bestows no fear
The light cometh and shines below
And across the paths to your abode
Henceforth the rains will fall like tears
Had never known of happiness here
Thy tender embrace feels so unharmed
Wilt surrender all my love and my heart

Thanks, Jon. :)
I don't always write using old english words but sometimes I am inspired to do so.
When I write it kind of just pours out in a matter of minutes and whatever is on the page is what I file away. No reviewing, no editing, a piece of my soul cast out into the world.
Hi Rachael,
I find your technique so moving, it is like
the spirit of invisible things being spoken.
To be honest I felt a slight wave of envy, only for
it to be replaced by awe.
As Jon said, hurry to get your book out as i'm sure
there are many who will find inspiration, value, even hope, in the
magic you 'cast out into the world'.
regards,
Mia.
