thanks Lorne, and your name reminds me of a beautiful town in the southern coast of this continent once famous for trashing the commercial centre of town every new years eve. I don't mean to imply anything personal but in the context of community spirit it was a weird way to summarise an entire year. There too I indulged in my own manner of public hostility by drinking myself drunk and driving from the hotel back to the camp site pretty well blind. And I completely agree completely that I ought to have been punished in the spirit of public safety and decency. All this is to say Lorne is a lovely holiday destination for the citizens of Melbourne and the world over. R

I spent a few hours in Lorne many years ago, Raymond. I got speaking with a woman in the tourist shop there, told her my name was Lorne, expecting she might care. She didn't care less, said, 'We had a Penny visit Penny Arcade the other day'. Hee hee. My name is very rare indeed. Lorne Michaels (Saturday Night Live) and Lorne Green (Battlestar Galactica) are famous Lornes. LJ, June 11 2013.
