I've just read Philip Levine's new book - "News of the World" lame title but a good book. Not his best but still some very engaging work

I've been enjoying two compilations by Garrison Keillor: Good Poems, and Good Poems for Hard Times. Quite idiosyncratic, but I like his taste: although the choices are predominantly American, the second book includes one of my favourite Fleur Adcock poems, so he has a pretty impressive range. The thing I enjoy most about compilations is discovering new poets or poems you wouldn't normally pick up.

Hi guys...At the moment I'm reading poetry by 'Antigone Kefala'. For those interested in her perspective on diaspora, these are powerful poems.

I'm reading Philip Levine's selected poems 'Stranger to Nothing' -- opened to book to a poem that knocked my socks off, 'The Poem of Chalk', from his book 'The Simple Truth' (1994).

I'm reading Edward Hirsch's 'The Living Fire -  New and Selected Poems'.
