Sacred

Beauty was never meant to be this beautiful
Flowing through Greek temples this sacred oil
That lights up a hundred lamps
Through which the olive tree grows in soil
In soil that gives life to the creeping vine
As life a vessel filled with wine,
until full

Then as I gaze into your sapphire eyes
As you undressed,
with your hands around my neck and our mouths together
The most beautiful wine is pressed

For a brief moment....

Beauty was never meant to be that beautiful
Flowing through Greek temples this sacred oil
