Write to me, I have said so much

Leave me not alone, I have been here so long

I never left you, you were never there to leave

Find me in a new place, the past is below

And I am high, where you once were

But never were you here to find, am I late?

Did I fail before or after I was born?

What was that place you told me of, where

Once you said I'd go, I am nowhere

And still you know your place

What is it we are, that make us both

Where did you drift, and not take me

What world awaits, because I have grown tired of the one I see.

Interesting poem.  I like the fact that you've kept these lines rather short.  When people write non rhyming poems I much prefer they keep their lines short - but it's just my own opinon.  I also like the last line "What world awaits, because I have grown tired of the one I see"

I agree with Steve. The last line is tres bien .

This one hits a little too close to home for me, so I'll leave it at that.
