Are you a new writer with a Western Sydney connection? Here's an opportunity to be published and reach a new audience.

ZineWest is an annual, illustrated A5 zine which offers print publication to around 30 writers. The print zine is launched around September/October with readings and prizes.

Entry is free and ZineWest welcome a wide range of genre and styles: a song, poem, story, comic, basically any word-based work that can be published in an A5 print zine.

You can submit up to three entries and be in the running for a $400 cash first prize. Books from Giramondo Publishing are up for second and third prize. There's also awards for Best Poem and Best Prose, Editor's Book Awards and Honourable Mentions.

Eligibility: you must be an Australian resident aged 16 years or older with a strong connection to Western Sydney: work, live, study or attend a Western Sydney writers group.
