Event Description

From the Foxhole

Words. They're the colloquy that separates the men from the mice; they can be used in rhetoric that is naughty or nice.
For everything that words from the mouth are, they are the reason we gather, once a month, in a small Sydney bar.
For in this intimate venue underground, we gather together to stand up, and generously share our words all around.
An opportunity to take the stage, among friends not foe, or broadcast something irrelevant to a niche little audience, you don’t even know.
We are all ears on what you have to say, this might be your moment to conquer that anxious feeling, of being a little afraid.
It is not mandatory to be brave and take the stage, feel free to stay in your seat, sip a cocktail, in this cool underground speakeasy style cave.
For this is also an opportunity to simply just listen, especially if you are twice shy, perhaps once bitten.
For those that want be to heard, then this is your moment, through poetry, a reading or concoction of your own chosen words.
Wine, cider and beer, from this bar it can be arranged, for the Fox Hole is the place to be entertained.
Spread the word/s.
Word.
Did we mention the pizzas are phenomenal?

68a Erskine st (entrance on Kent St), Sydney.
