Event Description

In its 26th year, Melbourne Writers Festival is a nationally and internationally-acclaimed festival featuring over 400 writers from around the world and more than 400 events. The festival takes place at Federation Square and selected venues around Melbourne.

The festival program features an enormous range of literary activity including entertaining discussions, debates, readings, film screenings, interviews, literary banquets, performances, workshops and book launches, as well as a lively schools' program for primary and secondary students.

The festival will take place from 25 August - 4 September 2011.
