You’re invited to Caravan Slam, A traveling poetry event taking place in various artist run initiatives in the St. Peters/ Newtown area.

We will all meet @ At the Vanishing Point Gallery in Newtown at 7pm on the 30th of March, where upon 5 wordsmiths will welcome you with one original 3 minute poem each to tantalize your soul.

We will then embark on a journey (just down the road a bit) to Index Gallery, to be welcomed by 5 diffe...rent poets who will again slam it out.

On leaving Index Gallery, we will all head up to the infamous Hutch, where YES... you guessed it, another 5 poets will showcase their talents.

We end our journey, where it all started @ At the Vanishing Point Gallery. Where upon the 3 highest scoring poets, from each previous performance, will perform another poem for your ears and eyes.

This is a community oriented event to promote Sydney based poets and artist run initiatives. Slams require a scoring system, but lets make it clear now, that it is not the sole purpose of the event. The purpose is to showcase amazing poetry and ARI’s, the scores are just a little bit of added fun.
