Event Description

The search is on for Australia’s next poetry slam champion!
Speak, scream, howl, whisper or sing your original poem at the Australian Poetry Slam 10 – an electric live event where the audience is the judge! Slam heats are currently being held in city and regional venues across Australia until November 2010. Two finalists from our slam heat will compete in their state final.

The entire evening will be given over to the Slam Heat.

Comment by sqgl on October 25, 2010 at 0:12: Usually 7:30 but because this time the whole night is slam it probably is good for poets to get there even earlier to register and keep it all relaxed. Jack does tend to start th enight promptly at 8pm.

Comment by sqgl on October 31, 2010 at 23:55: Both the 431 & 433 bus from Railway Square (Stand D) take only 12 minutes and go every 10 minutes this time of day! Get off at Cowper St (2nd stop on Glebe Pt Rd). Then walk 4 minutes along Cowper St to the pub (impossible to miss it in this otherwise residential street).
